Re: AQA English Literature Unit 1H 22nd May 2012Yeah i did the same.. The Of Mice and Men question was a god send.. Literally. I did the exact same question (with a minute difference) yesterday and gave it to my teacher to mark.. Absolutely smacked it.(Original post by Harry Callahan)
I found it all right. The Of Mice and Men questions were fairly easy, I thought.
I answered the An Inspector Calls question (17).
But i got a bad feeling about this.. I don't know why.. I just got a bad feeling

Re: AQA English Literature Unit 1H 22nd May 2012I'm dreading the results too.. I might just lie down and pretend that I'm a carrot when it comes to results day.. I don't see why anyone should take notice of a carrot.. Not like you don't see them everyday..(Original post by beckieapril)
I did the Lord of the Flies and To Kill a Mockingbird questions.
Lord of the Flies was alright, but Mockingbird was sooo hard! I'm dreading the results

I did An Inspector Calls and Of Mice And Men...It was a V.Good paper but I ran out of time
Spent too long on OMAM part a...Dreading results! Anyone do the passage Q for An Inspector Calls? I seem to be the only one :/ I didn't even look at the first one-was too panicked!

Re: AQA English Literature Unit 1H 22nd May 2012I did the exact same as you! I reallllyyy didnt like the Giles question and i found the TKAM one quite stupid, and random but it sounds like most people found it challenging so hopefully the grade boundaries will be low(Original post by Zozzy)
I was forced to retake by parents after getting a B last year, but this time round I found it a lot harder, so I think my B will have to do XD
I did the Crucible and To Kill a Mockingbird
What did you think?

Re: AQA English Literature Unit 1H 22nd May 2012100000% agree with you there on TKAM, the passage was really quite stupid because there was not a significant amount on Scout's feelings, but every one in my year and friends from other schools found the question hard so i wouldnt worry(Original post by metaltron)
I found the exam really hard... did "to kill a mockingbird" question... it was stupid
And after reading this it seems the grade boundaries will be high as well!

Re: AQA English Literature Unit 1H 22nd May 2012I know that giles question was horrible, so I went with the attitude towards the court quesion instead. And yeah I really hope grade boundaries are low most people at my school found it tricky too, except for a few people who said it was really easy(Original post by sophie5)

Re: AQA English Literature Unit 1H 22nd May 2012I did the court one too, and the general concensus from my school was the same as yours!(Original post by Zozzy)

Re: AQA English Literature Unit 1H 22nd May 2012
I did An Inspector Calls and To Kill a Mockingbird.. An Inspector Calls was really good, they chose such a good question and it was to the point and simple - I wrote 5 PQA paragraphs. But for TKAM, I wrote 3 PQA paragraphs for part a) and 2 for part b). It was such a closed question I found myself repeating everything!
-
Re: AQA English Literature Unit 1H 22nd May 2012The Crucible question was OK, but I forgot about Hale! Did anybody struggle for time at the end. The first question I did in 45 minutes, the first part of TKAM in 25 mins and then disaster struck because I couldn't think of what to write(Original post by Zozzy)

Re: AQA English Literature Unit 1H 22nd May 2012Yeah, same it was, which characters did you discus in b, i think the question could have been interpreted in many different ways so it would be interested to know what other people said(Original post by chloevictoria)

Re: AQA English Literature Unit 1H 22nd May 2012Did you see how they managed to give us a text extract double the length of the previous question, and yet there was nothing in it! I did squeeze 5 paragraphs out of it though, but that was only because I didn't want to move onto part b). !(Original post by chloevictoria)

Re: AQA English Literature Unit 1H 22nd May 2012Oh no, but did you finish it? I did the TKAM first and then the crucible, as i knew(Original post by metaltron)
