What do you think of male primary school teachers?

Is it stupid for a man to want to be a primary school teacher? I want to be either a secondary school teacher or primary school. The latter seems to be a bit weird for a male? Opinions.


I would really encourage you to be a primary school teacher. There are so few because of the pressure that it isn't "manly" to help children with their education. Some men are even afraid of being called paedophiles. I would argue that the world is unfair to men in some respects- women can be doctors, lawyers, or whatever now, and yet men are still expected to conform to stereotypes.

Think of it this way- by becoming a primary school teacher you are helping to stop gender discrimination!

though i dont know many guys my age doing a degree in primary teaching i remember having plenty of male teachers when i was in primary school! is this something thats come about in recent years?
