Re: Olympic tickets
How come you've already got yours?!
I've bought tickets for the Old Trafford games but they haven't been sent out yet.
And yes, any tickets for events taking place in London come with one day travelcards for the day of the event you're seeing.(Original post by aja89)
That is pretty ****ing awesome considering the amount of money that would have been made if people had to buy their own tube tickets! -
Re: Olympic ticketsReally useful, given that I live just outside zone 9 - they've saved me and my family about £75 worth of travel costs!(Original post by Drewski)

Re: Olympic ticketsI'm booking my tickets (A or B) for those matches tomorrow. I spent 3 hours finding cheap accomodation in Cardiff, £30 for the night.(Original post by Like_A_G6)
Got tickets for Switzerland vs. Mexico and GB vs. Uruguay in football. Should be a good game. Only C tickets were available, so they're the cheapest. Anyone know where that might mean I'm sitting? I'm guessing top tier -

Re: Olympic tickets
I'm over the moon with my football tickets. Nothing in London, just an all dayer to see Brazil v Belarus & Egypt v New Zealand at Old Trafford.
I couldn't afford anything else, and all the semi tickets for Old Trafford went which was gutting.
I had to buy these ones though. As a United fan, the chance to see and support Brazil on your home turf is a once in a lifetime opportunity IMO. The squad looks great as well, there's a fair few UEFA top flight players (Rafael, Thiago Silva, Marcelo, Sandro, Pato, Hulk etc), was a little gutted that Ronaldinho was dropped from the squad, would've been ace to see a legend play, but the others make up for it! Should be a good day.
Btw, did anyone notice when buying tickets that the price bands were a bit odd? I noticed at Old Trafford that the tickets that are normally more expensive at the season level were cheaper than the ones that are usually cheaper! E.g. front row of the East Stand (right behind the net) was C band, whereas towards the back was a D band for the semi, which you get a much better view from! Odd.
