I'm always lonely, but I'm never really alone. I don't know why, it's just always there. I think I need to make deeper relationships or something.

I'm lonely most of the time, and I think that one of the most difficult parts of it for me was (paradoxically) that I found myself getting accustomed to being lonely and almost liking it.
I never, ever used to be like this when I was younger - in fact I rarely did anything alone, and I think to an extent, forcing myself to be independent just led to me making myself a bit of a loner!
I do worry that I'm going to grow old alone, and inevitably turn in to this:
but I think it may just be a matter of time and place. I don't really feel much of a connection with many people around me these days. Maybe it just takes getting out there and meeting new people. I'm not shy, so don't think that will be a problem
