QUESTION PAPER JUNE 2012
I am a lower sixth biology student and I was in my classroom in which my teacher let me have a look at today's unit 4 paper. I couldn't take a paper so I quickly took photos of each page on my phone so have had to upload them one by one...sorry that it's all messy but just thought I'd be doing you a favour!

Re: AQA Biol4 15th June 2012(Original post by asaaal)
how do people get unofficial mark schemes?!!?!!?
Looking the correct answer up in the book, using the mark schemes for previous papers, most common answer, etc, etc. You don't "get" them, you make them. -
Re: AQA Biol4 15th June 2012the question said in experiment 1, not experiment 2. 1 had fall in volume of 5cm3 and 2 had fall in volume of 1cm3(Original post by Smiley Face :))
Would the voolume of CO2 produed not just be 1cm^3 because -
Re: AQA Biol4 15th June 2012I think it was just 4 because 5-1=4..? maybe?(Original post by Smiley Face :))

Re: AQA Biol4 15th June 2012on a serious note, the boundaries will probably be similar to Jan(Original post by Insanity514)
good comeback -
Re: AQA Biol4 15th June 2012I agree, we are not stupid we know how the paper works, it's not easy to deal with 8 questions which require hard thinking in 90 minutes, plus the pressure and the thought that our uni place depends on it does not help it...(Original post by Bright.Inspiration.)
I knew they would ask HSW questions, I'm not surprised it was asked. I'm saying that I didn't like the question and struggled on it.
The exam was pretty recent and people are stressed out and worried. Students have the right to express how they felt about questions
If you don't like it, don't read it. -
Re: AQA Biol4 15th June 2012It ****ing better not be(Original post by Full-UMS!)

Those were tight boundaries. not cool bruv. -
Re: AQA Biol4 15th June 201242 not 41(Original post by TheBlueNowhere)
41 not 42.
(0.51^0.5)*(1-0.51^0.5)*2 = 40.828... so 41% since you are only giving two sf in the question so answer should be to that accuracy.
dominant = 51% = q^2 + 2pq
recessive = 49% = q^2
0.49 = q^2
0.7 = q
p+q = 1
p = 0.3
2pq = heterozygous = 2 x (0.3 x 0.7) = 0.42 = 42%
DONE. now if one more person speaks about this, i will cry -
Re: AQA Biol4 15th June 2012sh*t meant to do a thumbs up, and clicked the wrong button, how to i undo the thumbs down? sorry am new to this!(Original post by scaredd)
