    No.
    I flew over Iceland in July of 2010 and there was a sprinkling of snow on the ground. Also, their names are traditions.

    No, there is no need to. The current names have a lot of history and a good story behind them.

    There are more worthy candidates for name changes. Great Yarmouth, Upper Beeding (south of Lower Beeding in Sussex), Arsenal (who don't play in Woolwich anymore) and of course, Manchester United who like most of their fans are not in Manchester.

    Is Upper Beeding at a higher elevation than Lower Beeding? That might be why they were called that.

    Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't Greenland called Greenland because the Scandinavians called it that to attract settlers?
