Re: Should I get a nose job?I actually really like your nose - if it was me I'd keep it, but then again everybody's different.(Original post by Anonymous)
I've hated my nose for a long time, probably since in middle school people said it was big.
I hate the 'bump' at the top, and I always wanted to get it fixed. I saved up for this reason. I'm just terrified of the procedure (it looks horrific), of it going wrong and ending up worse, and of not feeling like myself anymore.
It's really asymmetrical too, it's more 'bumpy' on one side.
Honest opinions please.. and sorry but I'm not going to post a full face picture. I know you can't be 100% sure without seeing it but I can't do that.
Thanks.
I think that its good that you're giving it a lot of thought though, but remember if you're not sure, then it's probably best to wait a bit longer til you know you'er 100% sure, because you always have the option of doing it, but once you've done it you can't really get it back.
And I'm not just saying that btw, I think you have a really nice nose

Re: Should I get a nose job?
Look, if you're really unhappy with it and you're sure nothing is going to change how you feel, then get a nose job. Obviously if you were happy with yourself it would be better, but I think getting surgery and having confidence is better than living with a part of your face that you hate. Everyone else may think it looks fine, but it is your face at the end of the day.

Re: Should I get a nose job?
I don't even see what's wrong with your nose to be honest =/ There's nothing weird about it. I honestly can't see anything bad about it.
I wish I had your nose instead of mine, in fact.
I'd keep it if I were you, but if you really would be happier with a nose job then... go for it. But it could be that after you get your nose done, you find something else about yourself that you don't like =/ -

Oh, and in this forum for anon.
But you've got to live with "it", but I wouldn't, it looks normal... -
Re: Should I get a nose job?
My nose is much bigger than yours and has a much bigger bump than yours. My family teases me (light heartedly) because of it. I was considering getting a nose job but the thought of people cutting me open and hammering away at my bone structure made me feel sick. Plus there's always the risk that it'll go wrong. Nose jobs are extremely difficult to do and there's the potential for it to do lasting damage or for it to look awful afterwards. I wish I had your nose

Re: Should I get a nose job?
I've also wanted a nose job for some time but would probably never really go there...
However in my honest opinion? Your nose has an adorable shape, the end around the nostrils is perfect, would you risk messing that up? I think it looks lovely as it is, someone sticking a file up there and filing down the bump isn't necessary for such a tiny little bump! -
Re: Should I get a nose job?
Honestly, do you know what I think you should do?
I think you should see someone. I have a very similar issue and I know other people like that. You probably have BDD or something similar and I think it'd be far far far better for you to see someone about it first as opposed to just nose-diving into a surgery you're not quite sure you want/need. (Please excuse the unintentional pun). -
Re: Should I get a nose job?looks fine from that doesn't look big at all.(Original post by Anonymous)
It is big, and i dont want a nose that 'doesn't look that big'.. I would like to have one that i feel good about.
Anyway:

Sorry, its quite a freaky looking picture with the eyes like that... -
Re: Should I get a nose job?I tried seeing a counsellor (about some other things) and when I told her I thought I was ugly and worried about what I looked like a lot she just told me I was deluded and laughed. I don't know if she took it seriously.(Original post by PrismaticCore)

Its so weird to see people saying its not that bad. I can't even tell you how much time I spent crying over it (not just the nose but it was a focus) when I was younger. -

Re: Should I get a nose job?Yeah, report that counsellor, that's horrifically unprofessional!(Original post by Anonymous)

Re: Should I get a nose job?are you being serious, some people would give an arm and a leg for your nose... indeed its not perfect, but how many are?(Original post by Anonymous)
