I've hated my nose for a long time, probably since in middle school people said it was big.
I hate the 'bump' at the top, and I always wanted to get it fixed. I saved up for this reason. I'm just terrified of the procedure (it looks horrific), of it going wrong and ending up worse, and of not feeling like myself anymore.

It's really asymmetrical too, it's more 'bumpy' on one side.

Honest opinions please.. and sorry but I'm not going to post a full face picture. I know you can't be 100% sure without seeing it but I can't do that.

    Thanks.

Oh, and in this forum for anon.

That's a bit of an insensitive thing to say to someone about something they've been insecure about for a long time.
I find it difficult to have sympathy with people who look totally fine and then are insecure about how they look when they know there are people like me and my fellow uglies around who are far worse.

I actually believe that I am ugly, and have been called that before. I'm not lying. There was a period where I couldn't go out because I felt this so strongly.

Really? I've never seen someone with a nose like mine, haha. I remember when I was younger wondering why mine was so different from all of my friends :p: They all had little ones.
LOl, no, really, yours is fine. Mine is much worse believe me!
I haven't really seen one exactly like mine, most people just have really nice noses :L

I've been called lots of things in my life, don't let it get to you and your nose is fine btw. I actually thing it looks better than fine, but that is just me.

I'd advise to seek mental help to help you come over these feelings and thoughts. I'd say that would be money better used than surgery.

    It isn't bad.

I'd maybe suggest to go ahead if it were really awful and really affecting your life. But it isn't. Slight imperfections aren't a good enough reason, imo, to put your body through that sort of surgery. A family member of mine has had 12 operations on his nose following a nose job which went wrong (and many, many subsequent correctional operations). Left him with a lot of scarring and a much worse off nose. For a case like yours, it's not even worth the risk.

your nose looks absolutely fine! totally unnecessary surgery...money is better spend for counseling IMO

Rhinoplasty is a very complicated procedure it is not something you can just say 'yes i am having this'
In your case, rhiniplasty might not even do much difference, in fact, it can make your nose worser! (not saying your current nose is worse but almost perfect!)

your nose is fine, it's all in your head. nobody else even notices your nose, and if they did then and would judge you for it then do you really care about what that sort of person thinks of you?

People should learn to be happy with who they are and keep in mind that perspectives change before doing anything that will have long lasting affect.

Just be happy with who you are and dont waste your money and time.

Re: Should I get a nose job?
Do you think a nose job would actually improve your looks though? Forget the whole fact that this would involve lots and lots of your money, plus intensive operations with lots of risks and pain (you're talking to someone who's had four operations in three months, one of which was last week - they are not fun) the surgery can leave scars and bruising, sometimes they go away, and sometimes they don't. Plastic surgery is usually quite noticeable, people can tell when there's something not 'natural' about your face. And the nose you're desiring, are you sure that would suit your face? It's not that easy to get rid of it if you don't like your new nose either.

Plus - your nose is lovely. :yep:
