    Can't get any tv signal?
Okay, I've tried just about everything. Tried 3 different aerials, the current one is a booster. I know for a fact the TV and aerial work, as I took them to my parents' and they worked there. My postcode is L4 so apparantly I should have great coverage, I don't understand what's wrong Please help?

What are you using to receive TV? Freeview? Have you tried re-tuning it?

The tv has built in freeview. Yeah, but I can't get ANY signal at all to tune it.

How odd. What kind of aerial is it? Is it pointing in the right direction? Do you know if your neighbours are getting any signal issues?

It's a little indoor booster aerial. It's been in the right direction and just about every other direction. Not as far as I know, and according to that website I should have amazing coverage :')

I would guess that the signal in your house/flat is simply too weak for an indoor aerial to pick up. Digital TV requires a strong signal, and unlike analogue it won't handle degradation, either it works or it doesn't. In fact I'm more surprised an indoor aerial worked at your parents' house than I am that it doesn't work where you live. Is there any way you can use a stronger aerial, or better yet install a proper rooftop one?

I've spoken to my landlord just now and hopefully we're getting a rooftop one fixed, but I don't understand why it doesn't get any signal when supposedly I should have fantastic signal :P

Could be any number of reasons, some sort of lining in the wall, other buildings/trees in the way of the signal, other interference (maybe you live next to a pirate broadcaster? :p:). Indoor aerials just aren't very reliable for DVB or DAB.

I've been having the same problem. I recently moved house, before I could get over 100 channels on freeview, and my TV has built in freeview. However ever since I moved house I can't pick up ANY channels at all =/ I thought maybe it literally is just where I am, but everywhere should be covered now? Weird.

As Dez has said indoor antennas aren't always that good. Personally I've had more issue with smaller ones with a booster. Ideally you want an antenna with a decent gain and no booster. If you're using a booster they tend to amplify any noise as well as the signal which has no imact on the signal quality.

You may need to retune your tv before you see any channels or signal info. It might be worth finding out which channels the muxes in your area are on and do a manual scan on those channels. That might allow you to see what the signal strengh is like as you move the antenna around.

Okay, they reconnected an old aerial from outsied but it still isn't working. I really don't understand. I've tried retuning it every way possible.

Edit: Apparantly the old aerial is damaged. I'm not having a lot of luck, am I? :') It's to be fixed tomorrow, I'll let you know...
