Re: 30th may 2012 physics 2 aqa
Im actually ready for this exam. Just make sure you know everything in the syllabus. At least they give us all of the formulas. We might need to just re arrange them. Difference between nuclear fusion and fission. If you dont know the answer just make one up. I think plum pudding model will come up. :/

Re: 30th may 2012 physics 2 aqaMake sure you remember how to rearrange the transformer equation where you have Vp/Vs = Np/Ns etc.(Original post by JU1CY-FRU1T)

Because they have different velocities; different direction.(Original post by pseudonymegg)
what did people get for the one which was linke, why do the boys move at different momentums?

Re: 30th may 2012 physics 2 aqawhy was it 2.2? Confused!(Original post by Pinkjumpers)
I got 2.2kg!
A lot of my other class did too..
What about everyone else? -
Re: 30th may 2012 physics 2 aqayou had to work out the momentum of the boy first momentum = mass x velocity that came to 22 (i think) then because the momentum of the boy and skateboard were the same you could use 22kg m/s to work out the mass of the skateboard mass = momentum/velocity 22/10 (the board recoiled at 10m/s) so the mass was 2.2kg(Original post by morgh002)
why was it 2.2? Confused! -
Re: 30th may 2012 physics 2 aqaSee, the momentum was 22 kg m/s. You had to work that out from the boy's details. He had a mass of 44kg and a speed of 0.5, I think. And 44kg x 0.5m/s = 22 kg m/s.(Original post by morgh002)
why was it 2.2? Confused!
Therefore, to solve for the skateboard:
22 kg m/s = X kg x 10 m/s.
X kg = 22 kg m/s / 10 m/s.
X = 2.2 kg!
Voila
