It was a double-headed arrow. What did you get for the 2 end edges questions. I got the previous answer & AC
ahhh few i got a double headed arrow too.
i got the previous answer and the bottom line on the left arrow head - if that makes sense - cant remember the letters i got though.

yeah me too, that was AC

how many lines were you meant to draw on the graph for the linear programming question?

58.5km?

I found 58500m.
it's the same thing.

At the risk of sounding cock, I thought it was all fine. For question 9 i got 550 pillows total. x=100, y=400 and z=50

question six was fine. n=3, n must be odd, ((n^2)-n)/2 is the number of edges in eulerian, n-1 edges in min spanning tree. they were all fine and easy. finished with 25 mins left on the clock.
7. Re: AQA D1 24th May 2012
For the prims question I put the end node instead of he end edges I got the right letter for the node though... Anyone know if I'll lose both marks?

but i've just realised that i've done something really stupid.

For the max, i had two points: (200,200) and (100,400)..or was it (400,100)? I can't remember, haha.everyone is getting x/y=400 x/y=100 and z=50

but i went with the 200,200 one, as they both gave the same answer.. But when i put it back in.. I got x=200, y=200 and z=100, by working it through the equation... Is that wrong? If so, how many marks will i lose?
200+200<100+400. Why did you not go for (100,400)!

Same here, I managed to go over my answers about 10 times.

I think the boundaries will be at 60 like normal, maybe 59 at the lowest.

it's the same thing.
I know, its just that the poster didn't specify the units.
12. Re: AQA D1 24th May 2012
how many comparisons were made in the shuttle sort question?

how many comparisons were made in the shuttle sort question?
1st: 1 Comparison, 1 Swap
2nd: 2 C, 2 S
3rd: 3 C, 0 S

I think was my answer, sound right? Also I said it wasn't completed because they hadn't compared the last two numbers.

I think that there was only 1 comparison on the last pass, as the first number that it was compared with was smaller then the number before it?

I may have put that actually, maybe it was the 3 in '3rd' pass I remember seeing haha, didn't write my answers down.

You get the same answer for the next part? 'is it complete?' or whatever it was? I guessed lol...

I said the same as you

Vaguely remembered it from another past paper

Any guess at grade boundaries? Think I've probably lost 8 marks definitely, bound to have lost another 2-3 silly marks. Did get 39 for Dijkstra (spelling), 65/24 for the Algorithm and 400y, 100x and 50z for linear so hoping for full marks on those questions!

hmm i agree with the swaps but for the comparisons for shuttle if you have 0 swap then you cant have more than one comparison as you only compare with the previous one if you swapped ...

Type in "ums conversion" into the aqa website search, there you can find past grade boundaries. from this can you probably get a rough estimate of the garde boundaries.

Yeah I just realised, think I put 1 C, 0 S actually. The 3 must of come from '3rd' haha.
