Phone them up and cancel your membership, simple. Why the change of political beliefs and what are your political beliefs now?

Here's the problem that goes over every labourite's head: That borrowed money either needs to be paid off or constantly serviced.

Of course it's not like their Tory counterparts would even dream of borrowing money especially when not in recession but wait a minute... Major's government almost doubled the debt from 25% of GDP in 1992 to 45% in 1997. Probably the Tory debt never needed to be paid off or constantly serviced (Brown stupidly sold our gold to pay it off before racking off more debt later).

We all know only the Tories can be trusted with the economy. After all if we look at the history of our recent deficits from the 1980s to present times the Tories managed 2 years of surpluses(in 88&89 just before the 90s recession) out of 20. Labour was so bad they had 4(during the boom years) surpluses in 13 years. Osbourne almost managed to rack up as much debt in 2 years as Brown and Darling did in 13years. The UK is already in a double dip recession now when the Eurozone is expected to enter into the recession by the year end. To me it's pretty clear the Tories are the better stewarts of the economy with or without external/global crisis.

Excellent choice.

I trust you're joining the Tory Party now? We have the funkiest, most jiving party on the planet :fatcontroller:

I wonder where you got that quote from...?
Or should my reply be I cannot fail to disagree with you less?

Which they expect to pay off in a boom.

Like I said before I really can't be bothered arguing.

Interesting... so there was quite a large deficit during the unprecedented global boom from 2002-2007, (Labour buying votes) but you believe for some reason that they are different this time.

Traditionally people tore up their membership cards... Which used to actually be made of card.
Suppose you'll have to stop paying your membership fees and wait for the renewal to fail...

The poor are poor because they do nothing to help themselves.

ah welcome to right wing fantasy land where if you want a job there is one there for you to take.

now welcome to the real world where the number of unemployed is much greater than the number of vacancies, so while people are trying to get back into work lets raise their taxes and slash their benefits which were barely liveable in the first place.

It should be compulsory for everyone to have to spend a month of their life on a low income so they know what its like rather than pontificating about "not helping themselves"

If they were simply allowed to die as nature would dictate, there wouldn't be an oversupply of people, would there?
Praise the Lord, another soul has been saved from the tyrannies of socialism!

Please keep saying these things, you're just helping the Tories lose votes if people think you are their average voter.

It's true, though.

I'm just willing to say it.

Well, an "aspiring law student" I hope you aren't.
Good luck with your career, advocating societies leave their citizens to die.
