Re: English Lit Exam: Didn't read the bookLord of the Flies is rather long.(Original post by SparkleDust231)
How long would it take ?
I would learn quotes off the internet, get the main gist of the book, and get a feel for the main themes. -
Re: English Lit Exam: Didn't read the book
is this for GCSE? we were allowed to take our books in with us, as long as they were unmarked, so if you flick through at least you'll have some idea where to look for quotes...
detailed online plot summary?
its not that long really, took me a few hours to read, depends how early you have to get up whether itd be wise to read it now!

PS GOOD LUCK

Ive looked at all the plot summaries not sure it will be enough because you have to use close reference to the text.
I think im just gonna have to pray tonight.
THANKS I'LL NEED IT! -
Re: English Lit Exam: Didn't read the bookDamn I ran out of rep(Original post by I Gurn Hard)
Why would you not read the book you've had about a ****ing year for Christ's sake... what is happening in this country...
don't ****ing do nothing all year then ask on a student forum if you're going to fail...
Rep +1 -

Re: English Lit Exam: Didn't read the book
Prepare to work through the night, looking at key quotes; a summary and past paper questions for your exam to get an idea of what exactly your going to have to know tomorrow. But even I read the book once (admittedly in Year 9 two years before the exam) for my English GCSE not the cleverest idea.

Lol, good luck tbh, just read sparknotes plot summaries and cram a load of quotes into your memory, and hope you can use some of them in the exam.
