Re: The "I'm scared I'm going to miss my offer" threadOkay, thank you, guess that means I can't count my A2 grades.(Original post by dendodge)
It depends on the offer.
My only offer in points said "from a maximum of three A2s or two A2s and two ASes". Other people I know have offers accepting anything.
But the points for an AS definitely don't count if you took the subject to A2. -

God I need to vent, I am so sure I have missed my offer now.
I need A*A*AA but one of them has to be physics/chemistry we I know didn't do that great in earlier in the week.
Don't even know what the point is anymore.

I know it's hard but try to think positively, you never know, the exams may have gone better than you think.

Re: The "I'm scared I'm going to miss my offer" thread
Quite frankly, my pessimistic nature and lack of self-belief has dragged me here. Oh, and Edexcel Geography...
I need AAA for my firm choice, but feel like because of Geography, I might only achieve AAB (possibly A*AB).
As much as I want to enjoy this summer, I know I will be sick with worry for the most part. Sigh. -

Offer at King's College for Computer Science, and entry requirements are ABB
However it's an under-subscribed course (again), so if I were to miss it by a grade or two, could I still get in?
It's a high ranked university however it's not a competitive course, so would that change anything?
Worried about getting BBB or even BBC

Re: The "I'm scared I'm going to miss my offer" threadHow do you know this? Where can you check? I'm going there too I hope but I feel I've blown it.(Original post by UWS)

Re: The "I'm scared I'm going to miss my offer" threadIt was on ucas extra the last time I checked. This would actually be the 2nd year in a row that computer science has been under-subscribed at Kings(Original post by Cesar Lecat)

Re: The "I'm scared I'm going to miss my offer" thread
English Language and Literature A brought me here :/
I was unsuccessful last year getting into Nottingham to do French with Dutch (offer AAB , A in French). However I ended up having to spend a brief time in hospital and I feel it affected my performance and as a result i ended up with ABD (A in IT (distinction) B in french 2 UMS from an A and a D in english 1 UMS from a C) So I decided to go back to college and try and fix my grades.
I got an offer again from Nottingham, already having achieved an A in IT my offer was A in French and a B in English. I got my A in French in a resit I did in January so all I will hear about on results day is English. I just feel as though I haven't got enough marks in my exam to bring me up to a B overall, though I am certain the lowest grade i can get is a C overall as my coursework grade this year improved from a C to an A*.
I'm just hoping that if it's the case then I'll be accepted on the premise that I got the A in French which I believe to be the keystone, so to speak, of the offer but I know this is probably wishful thinking :/
I don't know if i'm going to be able to enjoy this summer until results day and even then it could be bad :/ Just feeling kinda low right now.
It would just be a blow to be unsuccessful for a second time getting into Nottingham, though I have an unconditional offer from Central Lancashire it'd still suck to not be at the place that I had my heart set on but that's life. Any thoughts? I know it's near impossible to tell but in the eventuality I DO get a C in English, will other things be taken into consideration in my application such as my EPQ and statement or will I face a straight up rejection? Hopefully French with Dutch doesn't have that many subscribers.
Sorry for the really long post my head's just all over the place right now :/ -
Re: The "I'm scared I'm going to miss my offer" threadSame. I've already had a nightmare where some of my teachers were really upset (not at me in particular, but just in general at the whole scenario). My entire school/ family basically thinks I'm already at Oxford?(Original post by Banoffeepie16)
Me neither... I can't think of anything else at the moment except from how awful it would be to miss my offer
I feel the same way, only 1 exam I've sat do I think I couldn't got an A in it. However, when you say "screwed up German", could it just be that maybe you missed a couple of marks, *might* not get an A* and so therefore it feels a lot worse than it is? Perhaps? I'm sure that your speaking exam (presuming you do one) will be enough to boost your marks - your German sounds fluent!(Original post by such_a_lady)
Had five exams out of six now and only one of them genuinely went well
screwed up german today...
Sorry that you feel that your exams have gone so badly, I know how you feel, but now it's time to prepare hard core for English lit!
Same, but for me OCR History was a killer :/ I need AAA too, and so when a single exam doesn't go according to plan I think "it's over", which is terrible, but I really can't help it. However, I'm now re-focusing in time for English lit. on wednesday!(Original post by Marianne96)

Good luck to everyone with exams remaining

I know exactly what you mean, I have family members who think it's an absolute given that I'm going to Oxford :/ while I feel my exams have gone ok so far it's pressure...(Original post by Niki_girl)
