I don't think I done well at all to be honest, I think I messed up pretty badly and its a shame because I thought I done well in my other exams and this was the last one. It was edexcel by the way. How was yours?

    I had B- English, C- Geography C- Psychology U- Biology for AS

I dropped biology, and fully blame the U on poor teaching as the entire class had Us, and I dropped psychology. I re-sat Geography and English and got up to AA, and am doing French as fast track subject, part time. I am dreading the results of French because I know that will be my downfall because I've had to do both AS and A2 in the evenings, and it's the most stressful course I've had to complete in my life.

If I don't get into Uni I have..vague back-up plans and will re-apply next year for different courses with perhaps lower grade boundaries, or do whichever subjects I mess up part time while working for a year.

So you are saying you've done so bad that you don't even have a U in the paper? Plus you are doing 4 A levels

It's strange... Got a recurring feeling that it will be one of those situations, where they end up with an A on the exam, despite claiming to have failed it

I'm 100% sure that I missed my firm choice of AAB because I had a pretty terrible CHEM5 exam on Tuesday. I needed somewhere between 90-100 UMS and there is absolutely no chance that I got that. It's all well and good family and friends telling me that I "probably did better than I think!" but I have to be realistic here

One thing I have noticed is people in similar situations to me have been contacting their universities to let them know that they are going to miss their offer. How does that help, what do you say to them? I'm not fussed about going to my insurance but if theres anything that can help me get into my firm i'm all ears!

    I don't even have a real insurance!

I got AAAC after resits, but the As were only just As. What do you need to get?

I got AAAAB. It's strange for me because I'm confident of getting 2 A/A* (hope I don't jinx it) but will probably get 2Bs. I did 3 Economics exams in this session, 2 were retakes, 1 went terribly, the other was alright but was already 81/100. If neither go up, I need 119/120 in my exam from yesterday  and Maths is a lost cause for me. I need AAA. Just not in the mindset of going to my insurance.

I'm sure with AAAC at AS, you won't drop too far from AAB at A2. Just remember that in Philosophy for example, if you managed to do really well in one paper, then you can afford a poor result in the second paper!

I know it's early on but I took subjects this year thinking they would help me get into Uni for something like biomed or tropical disease.
I took Chemistry, Biology, English Language and Physics. The thing is throughout the whole of this year I have really struggled with Physics which therefore brought down my grades in Biology and Chemistry.

I know it sounds crazy, but I have literally been so worried about the fact I have messed up these exams so badly due to my difficulty in Physics and that I will have to declare my rubbish grades. Do I have to declare them still?

I'm tearing my hair out about the situation and feeling pretty stressed all the time. Had a really disasterous Physics AQA paper today so have chosen to do a bit of an 'easier' subject such as Psychology to replace Physics and hopefully get a better grade in it. Will this suffice even if the typical offer is AAB? And can I just not apply in September?

Sorry for the rant! Mum doesn't know what to do with me!
Don't do psychology, whatever you do.

It sounds to me like you have little to worry about! People usually go quite a bit better on resits, and I'm sure you'll have done well plus your AS grades are sure to support you. Don't think about it too much, sounds like you'll be safe where is your insurance?

That would be true if the papers were equally weighted. For half of the big paper, I generally missed the point of the question. In all my exams, one half of them has gone badly :/ I'm sure of at least an A and a B but the other A is going to be risky... I hope I'm just being overcritical :/

Ah thanks, hopefully! in one of the papers I'm almost thinking that I did worst then last time, missed out an 8 mark Q out of 72. My insurance is Nottingham, strangely my insurance is probably better for my course then my firm (Warwick) but In the age of the internet, once you've been researching/joining groups, it'll be hard to suddenly have to go somewhere else, and the hassles of no accommodation.

I hope you get what you need !, since I know my firm won't take me even if I miss it by 1UMS..

    Me too
    Stupid Chem5

My assumption, having gone through the paper is i lost 30/31 marks. I can afford to lose 34 :afraid:

    Warwick is my firm too......
