Re: Wellington college
Well I currently go to the school, so hopefully my insight will be of use to you...
From what I can tell being here this is certainly one of the best schools in the country. There is great teaching, a good atmosphere, lots of sporting and extra-curricular stuff. There is also a very strong pastoral and anti-bullying ethos which I suppose some people appreciate more than others.
In terms of the pupils there are few people I take particular issue with, most people seem relatively hard working and bearable. Of course there are some ***** like there are at every school but I just ignore them.
Hope this helped.
btw(I assume you mean Wellington College UK?)Last edited by Hewitt; 31-05-2012 at 00:27. -
Re: Wellington college
Sorry to have taken so long to reply only just noticed your post.
From what I have experienced there is very little bullying, the school couldn't do much more to prevent it. There are no 2nd chances for bullies at the school. That is not too say there is not potential for bullying - but you can rest assured that if you were to be bullied and you reported it it would be dealt with sufficiently.
The social life is pretty good - there are a few cafe's around the school where people gather and they sell pizza and coffee and crap like that which is quite popular.
I don't really know what you mean by focus on wealth. There is a focus in that there are school fees. There are also a few super-rich people at the school. But the vast majority of pupils are just middle-class.
Hope that helps xx
