Favourite games?
Hi All,
Bit of a pointless thread, but I thought it could get interesting
I was just wondering what everyone game(s) of ALL TIME is/are and why?
Sooooo I'll start with mine:
Metal Gear Solid/Metal Gear Solid 2 - I have never ever played a game with better storyline, and it's just EPIC! It was so ahead of its time, and I don't think many games can be compared to it. Awesome deep plot, great characters, what more could you ask!
( sorry if you think the thread is lame :/ )

Re: Favourite games?
Of all time?

Mainly the timeless classics from my childhood - Bomberman, Super Mario World, Kings Bounty, Zelda, Sonic The Hedgehog and the various GTA's (am INCREDIBLY excited for this year's release!
) These are the only ones I remember atm, but nonetheless, they're timeless classics that I will never get bored of!

Re: Favourite games?
God, I love so many video games it's hard to just a few select favourites.
I really, really love the Battlefield:Bad Company series (Such a breath of fresh air to the FPS genre) Battlefield 3 (So much Multiplayer rage), Saints Row series (Again, so much lulz) Mass Effect for le epic story, Gears of War series (The third installment was a bit naff) Fallout series, Final Fantasy XII, Theme Park World 1 plus Toe Jam and & Earl and Michael Jacksons Moon walker from my childhood

mmmmmm it's a tie between 3 (well technically more)
Pokemon: Red (my childhood)
Legacy of Kain: Blood Omen 2 (first proper 3d game, replayed countless times)
Sacrifice: (randomly came across this as a child, came free with a graphics card or something my dad bought, a creative masterpiece which is timeless)

Re: Favourite games?
Metroid Prime Trilogy Edition. If that's considered cheating as it is three games, specifically, the New Play Control edition of Metroid Prime.
Metroid Prime is without a doubt the most graphically impressive game of the 6th generation. Nothing comes close to Retro Studio's fantastic art design - it's stunningly beautiful. The designs are fantastic and compelling. The music is some of the greatest of any game of all time. The Phendrana Drifts theme should be a compulsory entry on any list of Greatest Game Music, as should Magmoor Caverns. So atmospheric! The gameplay in the remastered version is buttery smooth. It easily has the best controls of any First Person Shooter to date; the level of accuracy and speed with which you can aim, and the freedom of movement Samus possesses makes everything else feel unbearably slow. The game isn't bogged down with unnecessary exposition and plot; it's pure and simple exploration and gunplay. There's not a single missed note; Metroid Prime is just in a godly tier of its own. -
What about Metroid Other M, that's amazing, the graphics are so good. But it is the only metroid I've actually played(Original post by TopHat)

Re: Favourite games?Spoiler:Show

Excuse the unequal pic sizes. Just the ones I snatched off Google Images. But yes I'm a huge fan of the Metal Gear franchise (I agree with the OP about the storyline), it's my favourite franchise out there, I'm looking forward to Metal Gear Rising Revengence and whatever the new MGS5 is going to be (it's going to be announced pretty soon). Been waiting for years. lol.
But besides that I love the GTA series, not so much GTA IV too little to do compared to San Andreas, but GTA V is hopefully gonna be good since they're setting it in the San Andreas again. The rest are N64 classics, N64 was the console in my childhood days.
Besides MGRR, MGS5, and GTA V I'm looking forward to the Tomb Raider reboot and The Last of Us. -
Re: Favourite games?Other M is very good, but it's probably actually the "worst" Metroid, not that any Metroid game is bad.(Original post by azg545)
