Re: Summer Transfer Rumour ThreadWe'll spend the most this year with City a close second, big summer for us with a rebuild on the cards. Buy the right players and we could challenge for the title again but I doubt we will for a couple of seasons.
Utd will add a big name but I doubt they'll do much else.
Arsenal will bring in a couple of squad players to sure up a 4th spot as they don't like to aim too high these days.
Liverpool will probably overspend but could get a good squad.
Newcastle and Spurs will strengthen but I doubt anywhere near the other clubs.
Barca and Madrid will do their usual big buys although with Hazard going to England there isn't too many big buys to grab.

Alonso coming back to Liverpool innit.
Hopefully the vertonghen deal goes through, will be a massive coup for us i feel, Then we need a winger and ST, Ade and Remy would do nicely. Cant help but feel it'll all go tits up though and we'll end up with Jonas Olsson, Joe Cole and Grant Holt. -

Manchester United have failed in a bid of around £12.8m for Borussia Dortmund's Japanese midfielder Shinji Kagawa. This guy seems pretty good checking out his stats. I think he would be good for us chelsea.

United havent failed to sign him they just had a bid rejected. They can and will just offer more money.(Original post by punkski)

If you had the choice of the three top clubs to play for next season wouldn't you take your time? Very clever what hes doing. He's making sure he chooses the right career move and fair play to his agent. Obviously mongs like you don't like it when a player goes to the team who pays most. -

Demanding 250,000 a week, 'choosing' clubs and turning them down like he's some kind of massive superstar... He's been at Lille. And that's it. Spent all season doing it and disrespecting Lille, if he didn't like them, why didn't he just move to somewhere in January?
If it was City he was going to you'd be saying exactly the same so pipe down.
