Re: Summer Transfer Rumour ThreadQPR are offering like £50k a week. Cole took a 50% pay cut to remain at west ham, even rejecting £40k a week to play at Stoke. Carew I doubt was on very much, and Nolan is the biggest wage(Original post by boumavilla)
Oh, I see. I heard he was going to QPR, to replace the fairly average Paddy Kenny. But I'm surprised that West Ham couldn't meet his wage demands considering he's a much better goalkeeper than Jaaskelainen, and they could afford paying the wages of Cole, Carew and Nolan last season...
Keepers are normally the lowest paid, we offered Green around the £45k mark and he just didn't want to sign. He wants to move on so be it. Jaaskelainen is a great keeper and we picked up a very good young keeper from Portsmouth -
Re: Summer Transfer Rumour ThreadI didn't know Cole took a wage cut! I didn't think he was that loyal!(Original post by WhatTheFunk)

You have Jonas Olsson to add to the mix too now, good defender who may be useful in long ball free-kicks and corners

Jonas Olsson could be cool we need another defender. You play to win or draw all we need to do to stay up. It may not be pretty at times but Man U have won league playing it like
Cole loves West Ham even if a small section of fans seem to alway hate on him -

McLeish
saying that Villa were playing dynamic, exciting football when we really weren't! I guess Allardyce is a little more open to it, but it works. I don't mind it at teams like Stoke where it's expected, but I miss West Ham's good football. But hey, if you stay up, no moans!
Cole was crap at Villa so I'm never really a fan of him
Nelsen and Andrew Johnson to QPR btw, that's more experience, but Johnson isn't needed at QPR with all the strikers that they have already! -
Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Threadhahaha McLeish how he keeps getting jobs I dunno. Where did that "good" football get us relegation fights. Since Bacrelona and Spain have started winning everything people seem to think you have to pass sideways to play good football. I don't think Big Sam plays that bad it is hard to judge a team while they are in the championship as it is a very smash and grab league and well teams sat back at west ham(Original post by boumavilla)

Cole is a good player he just need the right ball and to believe in himself
QPR seem to be spending alot of money on old average players, bit like west ham did a few years back and it didn't end well -
Re: Summer Transfer Rumour ThreadTrue, the Championship is different, and I do think there'll be tough times ahead for West Ham next season but I think they'll stay up(Original post by WhatTheFunk)

It'll be be like Bolton or Blackburn though unfortunately, but with an improved Nolan around!
I think the fancy football thing is just a coincidence because all the dominant teams are controlled by managers that play that way, and as you said Man U won a lot with the more traditional route of football.
I thought that QPR would spend for next season and they haven't yet, and if they don't they could be back down the bottom again!
Watch how good old Kieron Dyer gets injured again next season!
It is now beyond the stage of feeling sorry for him now...

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour ThreadIt will be hard, it always is for newly promoted teams and those who are down their. 90% of west ham fans will be happy with 17th this season, aiming higher would be great.(Original post by boumavilla)

Man U have always been a effective side, got the job done no matter what, stealing a late 1-0 win to killing teams
QPR may not be buying players yet but they are offering massive wages to those who they are bring in on frees. Oh Kieron Dyer just give up lol -
Re: Summer Transfer Rumour ThreadMan U have had the ref on their side a few teams in the past though in their 1-0 wins!(Original post by WhatTheFunk)

Yeah I don't understand QPR's reasoning with those players, they clearly will not offer enough on the wages they're on! -
Re: Summer Transfer Rumour Threadlol someone neged that(Original post by boumavilla)

Man U fan can't take a joke
I dunno what QPR are doing they do remind me of West Ham as few season back when we was taken over by they Icelandic bankers. Thats where it all went wrong plus the financial crisis that ruin Icelandic banks, they made the owner go broke and West Ham was left with no income -
Re: Summer Transfer Rumour ThreadReal funny, Man U 'fan'.(Original post by WhatTheFunk)

I remember going to Iceland last year and everything was triple the price it should have been, £8.50 for burger and fries!
The whole country is in a massive debt whole so you can understand they had no money. Although it was strange when QPR had Ecclestone as the owner, he never spent much money at all when he had bags of money and they just stagnated in the Championship!
How did Carew do last season for the Hammers? I don't remember him playing a lot, must've been injured? I also take it that might be the reason why you released the beast? -
Re: Summer Transfer Rumour ThreadWas that excitement or disappointment when you mentioned Heskey?(Original post by HullTiger1991)
Heskey to Hull!! Along with Josh King, Ryan Tunnicliffe and Michael Keane on loan from our A Team!
-
Hull also looking at Paul Coutts from Preston and Paul Anderson from Forest looks set to return to us.
Less reliable rumour is Lee Tomlin for 1.5million from Peterborough.
Kamel Ghilas is leaving Hull on a permanent transfer to rejoin Reimes whom he helped to promotion to Ligue 1 finishing the season as top scorer in Ligue 2
