Re: Summer Transfer Rumour ThreadI expect Tottenham to struggle to keep hold of Modric and Bale this season after Redknapp's departure and rumoured increasing interest. I've heard that Barca are very keen to sign Bale following Redknapp leaving and after Modric putting in another decent few performances at the Euros I've heard that Chelsea might be willing to re-bid and Madrid potentially interested.

Can't believe Sigurdsson's going to Spurs. Turning down one of Europe's biggest clubs and the manager he's worked with at two clubs already just for a bit more money? Fair enough if it was next to nothing, but he's already on tens of thousands a week. WTF.

Really? No idea, where I've been recently then. Thought Barca were rumoured to be making a big bid (£40-£50m) this summer. I still expect Modric to leave this summer but who knows. -

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour ThreadThere was talk that if Bale went to Barca, he'd be deployed as a left back but really just a left sided player, covering the whole of that wing sort of how Dani Alves has done with the right side for them this season. But given they've bought Alba now it would've been unlikely even if Bale hadn't signed a new contract.(Original post by benpearson1)

If Liverpool and Spurs offered the same money for Sigurdsson I'd imagine he'd still go to Spurs. They have no manager but are linked with top managers like AVB and Blanc and If Modric and Bale leave they'd have close to 80m to spend on players probably so could get adequate replacements. Spurs are a better team than Liverpool. It's like choosing Arsenal over Everton.

Re: Summer Transfer Rumour ThreadLiverpool, not that much unless players are sold but I don't believe players like Skrtel or Pepe will leave. Will probably see Moses and another one or two semi-decent players come in.
City I think will grab RVP, huge cash, and probably one or two other big names. Wouldn't even rule them out of snatching Modric, just because they can... -
