    Relevance of Extended Project?
My college has seriously pushed this as it is an AS-Level equivalent which you can get up to an A* in. Though I am doing something extremely relevant to what I want to study at HE (English Literature - my dissertation is titled 'To what extent do dystopian novels reflect the society in which they were written?') and I was wondering if anyone who has applied for 2012 entry has found that universities take the qualification into account at all?

I'm planning on applying to quite prestigeious unis (Durham, York...) and I was just wondering if they actually care - or if it's just my sixth form

i'm in A2, yes i did the extended project (got an A) and all my offers (AAA at A Level; Law) took it into account and even lowered the AAA down to A*AB if i got an A in the extended project which i have. so i think it's better to have done the project than not.

Oh wow, that was far more than I was expecting - can I ask where you applied to?

sheffield, warwick, nottingham, leicester and east anglia - was rejected by nottingham purely because i messed up my LNAT (an exam for law applicants which nottingham required)

I go to Durham and I found doing the EPQ really helped my application - I put it in my personal statement and although I didnt have an interview at Durham, I talked about it loads in my other interviews (Exeter, Bath and Southampton) and they seemed to really like it
