    Worms in poo
I'm pretty sure i have these as it's itching there a lot plus i can see small white threads in there which i'm never quite sure if i can see move or not

So looking at treatment, is this good and how long should it be before they go?

Whereabouts would they be in boots too. Don't particularly want to go around asking for a medication like this aha. Would superdrug be another possibility?

    Thanks.

You'd probably have to ask for it over the counter.

I ordered these online to avoid that, one tablet worked, as should the ones you linked... Read the leaflet when you get them I bought the 4 pack though in case they came back, but didn't need to. http://www.chemistdirect.co.uk/ovex-tablet_1_1158.html

Make sure you put towels, bedding and underwear in a hot wash to make sure you kill any eggs

Ahhh these arn't nice at all! So embarrassing.

Be very, very hygienic because the eggs are so small they can even float around in the air which means they can be difficult to get rid of, they get everywhere!
Wear underwear when you sleep (this is when the females come out and lay eggs mostly) and change them every night.
Use a separate towel from the rest of your family to stop them spreading. Also you could cut your finger nails, eggs can get trapped under there.

When you get the tablets take one even after you think they're gone to make sure you've stopped their little cycle of egg laying!

But they're not harmful parasite so don't worry too much, it's just that they're not very comfortable and itch alot.

    Good luck x

I had these when I was younger.
Never took medication for it - they all seemed to die after a while.

For god's sake, don't ask for medical advice in internet forums, see your GP! Especially since we're not talking about the flu but worms ...

It's a pharmacy only medicine, which means that it has to be sold under the supervision of a pharmacist. I'd buy it in Boots/Superdrug/Lloyds etc. rather than online because the pharmacist will make sure that it won't interact with anything you're already taking and that it's suitable for you. They'll have seen it all before. Kids get worms all the time and can easily pass it on to family and friends so try not to be embarrassed.

They reproduce in your gut I think, then the females swim out and lay eggs around the anus, which get transferred back to the mouth, and then they get back inside you and the cycle rotates.
But yehh the females come out in poo.

It's important to continue taking tablets for a little bit, even after you think they've gone because it's so easy for the eggs to get back inside you and the cycle begins over again.
