Re: CHY3H Unofficial Mark Scheme June 2012I think this guy is mad that he done **** in the exam so he's misplacing his anger onto everyone else(Original post by James_01)
you can't stoop down to my level because i'm above you and for your information good sir i attend Eton -
Re: CHY3H Unofficial Mark Scheme June 2012You might get marks for the working out.(Original post by James_01)
no you stupid person it was o.61 not 0.62 why the **** would you get the mark??????????? -
Re: CHY3H Unofficial Mark Scheme June 2012Here you go!(Original post by ChemicalFreak)
sorry but can somebody explain to me how we were supposed to do 4cii and 4ciii (regarding the calculation questions) please?

4c) ii)
Volume of NaOH x Concentration of NaOH / Volume of Vinegar
(30.5 x 0.5 / 25)
= 0.61 mol/dm^3
4c) iii)
Concentration of vinegar x Relative formula mass of ethanoic acid
(0.8 x 60)
= 48 g/dm^3
a dm^3 is equal to 1000cm^3
the question asks for the answer in g/250cm^3
1000 / 4 = 250
so
divide 48 by 4
(48 / 4)
= 12g (per 250cm^3) -
Re: CHY3H Unofficial Mark Scheme June 2012
For the question about 100 degrees, would you get a mark for saying the temperature is too high?
What do people thing grade boundaries are likely to be? :')
And for question 2 about group 1, could you say, they all react with water to form an alkaline solution and they have have 1 electron in the outermost shell? -
Re: CHY3H Unofficial Mark Scheme June 2012Almost definatley!(Original post by Zigggyy.)

Those two are better than the ones on the scheme ^^
(did you copy me?

Re: CHY3H Unofficial Mark Scheme June 2012
Ah, yes for both the question about temperature and my two points about group 1? If so, - WOOOO!
n'awww, thanks for the reassurance :') I'd rep you, but I've used my maxiumum for today.
Copy you? ahaha! Nope, did you make the same points? (':Last edited by Zigggyy.; 24-05-2012 at 15:40. -
Re: CHY3H Unofficial Mark Scheme June 2012What about the thing about electrons? :')(Original post by Fas)
yea you can also say they are alkali metals :P i think
A* - 34
A - 31
B -26
C - 21
D - 18 -

I think the grade boundaries will be low average.. it was mainly okay but there was the odd tough question so... 32 A* maybe -

Referance is needed to the fact that the water would boil
-
Re: CHY3H Unofficial Mark Scheme June 2012
Oh, and for the question 1c where we had to say why the results were shocking or whatever, I said that they decreased at 68 degrees, is that just completely wrong? I guessed, haha!
HEY! :')(Original post by g.k.galloway)

How are you?
omg, the weather <3
Yeah, I was thinking 32-24 probably :') -
Re: CHY3H Unofficial Mark Scheme June 2012Awww, bummer.(Original post by michelfish)
You won't get a mark for "Temperature too high" though

Okay!
Thank you! :')
