Huddersfield is my number 1 choice (really like the sandwich yr option) along with northumbria, lincoln & possibly Leeds. Havent been on an open day but plan to after my exams.

I'm starting the Textiles with surface design course in september at huds so if you want my email when ive done a few weeks there then feel free, I know how hard it is to get advice on courses! However I have heard huds is one of the best. Loved the department when I visited...also been told to avoid Leeds Uni like the plague...Leeds college of Art could be a suggestion if you like Leeds as a city, only small but they have a good reputation. Hope that helps!

aw thanks so much, i'd greatly appreciate your info when you start, I like the look of Huddersfield way more than Leeds, I live in a town at the mo, aint overly keen on proper city living. I'm going on a trip to leeds with my 6th form in the next few weeks aswell as a ucas convention at hull uni so i'll see what they say there.
    Do you have facebook/twitter?

As for freshers - don't worry about it! You will meet so many people very quickly, you will be overwhelmed with new friends

    Hey guys!
I've been a fresher before at hudds uni (transferring courses and so I'm a fresher again this year!)
Last year the freshers of 2011 had a MASSIVE facebook group.. and I cannot tell you how much help it was for me and many other freshers, to get to know people before you start uni. It's a daunting time in your life and becoming good friends with people before you begin your new journey makes it so much less scary!
And so as of today I've made a new facebook group, for the freshers of 2012! Join, you won't regret it!

    http://www.facebook.com/groups/317238345030854/

It may look empty now but believe me its gonna get big Just trying to publicise it as much as I can. You can now get info from me and other people who have been to hudds uni before and so can give you the most honest answers to your questions, as well as meeting new people when the group gets bigger.

So please help me out and join the group, you won't regret it! x
