Firstly this is not a troll I appreciate just how brilliant Spain and Barcelona are, but aside from how everyone says they're amazing to watch I find them boring, like I said they're incredible at what they do, revolutionary even, but am I wrong not to be excited by maintaining possession with lots of short passing tiring out the other side drawing them out util they either make a mistake or they're close enough to the goal for a tap in? I actually found Chelsea exciting to watch when they went on the counter-attack with long passing up the field trying to catch the other team out with a fast player taking advantage of the space behind the defence after frustrating the other sides offense forcing them to push up, I find the end to end fast, counter attacking football english and german sides play, more enjoyable than holding onto possession in the opponents half.


What am I missing here?

I agree. It's hard to keep the ball like they do but that doesn't mean their football is entertaining. I appreciate their ability and the flashes of brilliance they produce but the tika-taka style of play is mostly side-ways and boring IMO.

Apart from Chelsea they don't, they foolishly try to close them down, lose their shape get tired and either give lots of fouls or get torn part by the passing game allowing a 6 yard tap in.

Seeing Kalou or Drogba chase a long ball down with a defender hoping for a one one one with the keeper is exciting.

brilliance and entertainment are not the same thing.

This champions league was an insult, and the fact that you say chelsea are the best team in europe is ridiculous. Chelsea FLOATED through this premier league not a single performance that I would rate atleast 6/10, even though they beat barcelona on the way 10 man defence is ridiculous and the fact that they actually conceded is funny, and on top of that the final they won out of sheer luck they totally deserved to win the match chelsea win that match 1 time out of 10.
