Do you normally like more than one person at once?
So, it seems pretty commonplace these days for people - especially guys - to have their eye on more than one person at once, and to be happy to date whichever one of them they could get first. This seems a bit of a shame to me, but perhaps it's too romanticised to think that I might be the only girl a guy liked... I suspect that girls are more inclined to only have one guy in their sights, but perhaps I'm wrong. Enlighten me?

Re: Do you normally like more than one person at once?
As long as the "open options" don't continue if a relationship forms, then I suppose it's fine to have your eye on more than one person. Although I prefer to look at it this way - you're getting to know all the people rather than focusing on one just due to first impressions. But when you realise you seriously like someone, that's when the others should no longer be thought about in that way.

Re: Do you normally like more than one person at once?Maybe if you lot were a little more approachable/less cynical, and less obsessed with 'trappings' when you get to a certain age, chaps would be a little more 'discerning'(Original post by Posh Totty)
This seems a bit of a shame to me
If it weren't such a bloody lottery perhaps they wouldn't 'roll the dice' quite so much
That's because the onus isn't on them to take the target down, even that one guy in their sights, typically they'll do little more than smile/blush/giggle around him/stare longingly at him(Original post by Posh Totty)

We are the ones who typically have to chance our arm and suffer rejection after rejection, hence, over time, putting all our eggs in one basket seems like a less and less sensible strategy
Welcome to mating #101

Re: Do you normally like more than one person at once?
Nope.. I dont really think its possible to have very strong feelings for more than one person. But yeah if you're playing the field you can have milder feelings for multiple people, this is at the start of the relationship.. usually fizzles out to just one person or none though.

Re: Do you normally like more than one person at once?
It depends. If I really like someone - that's it. They're the oly person I can think about/am interested in. If I just sort of like the look of a few people/they've shown interest in me then I'm open to new people.
So I sort of fancy a couple of people, but when THE person comes along, that's it everyone else goes out the window. That's when I know it's worth pursuing a relationship. -
Re: Do you normally like more than one person at once?
There's usually just the one guy with a couple of possibilities in the background. I don't honestly think that you can like two people in the same way at the same time; there's always a preference, and if there isn't, then chances are, you don't like either.

Re: Do you normally like more than one person at once?Yes, society is turning out that way. It's depressing.(Original post by JordanS93)
The poll responses are the opposite to what I expected. I thought the guys would be more likely to put keep their options open and girls to be set on one person.... But it is in fact the other way round.
And then they expect guys to trust them blindly
