    What was it?
    How many marks do you guys think I will lose for using wrong terminology? I used 'oxymoronic contrast' wrongly, I tried to say there was an oxymoronic contrast between sharks and a toy boat in the article, but oxymoronic was the wrong word to use.

    I also stupidly said that 'Strength going away' was PERSONIFICATION. Am I an idiot or what? lol. I said because it almost makes it seem like it's running away, which only a person can do etc.

    Will I only get slightly knocked down? Or significantly?

    I don't think it will cost you that many as the personification could be seen as your own interpretation of the text which the examiners give credit for my teacher told me that examiners are encouraged to pick out positives and not negatives

    thanks but I didn't relate mmuch to the text apart from i remember saying that rescue is repeated in the title and the text :') Then wrote some bs point about how thats the central point or emphasis lol. Reading these forums people have wrote 2,3 or even 4 pages on the reading and the most I wrote was 2 pages but that was for the last one :/ all the others were only a page so im a bit worried. the only thing that makes me feel better is the blog (16 marks) said to aim for no more than 2 and a half sides so by that 8 marks should be okay in just over a page, i hope! I'm sure you've done fine! The first one I found hardest, what did u put?
    I don't even remember, the whole thing was a blur. I think I just rambled on about rubbish .

    I never got the chance,to write about stories in my Edexcel GCSE.Section B(writing) was the harder part of the English Language exam for Edexcel as well and I got only 54% on it,compared to 98% on Section A.
    what was the question like?

    the question i struggled on was number 6 due to lack of time, so i don't know whether i answered the question properly cause i didn't have time to plan it buttttt i did use loads of linguistic devices that are mentioned on the mark scheme and ensured the form was suitable, oh and i used counter arguments- i hope i get most marks for that?

    my Q4 also wasn't organised-I just picked out any lang device for both and commented on how it suited the purpose and the audience.
    My speaking I just scraped an A
    and the controlled assessment I was like a mark or 2 off of an A.
    I really want an A overall for the past 2 years I've always hated reading, but yesterday I found the reading easier than the writing :L
    how did you find it?

    TBH on Q4 I just compared and contrasted, didn't talk about many linguistic features, but wrote enough about how it affected me, to get a decent mark, overall I thought it was bog average. 43-50 I think. but my coursework was a B, which is 60% so a C in the exam and I've got a B.

    Exam = 40% [20% Reading; 20% Writing]

    Speaking & Listening = 20%

    Controlled Assessments = 40% [15% Extended Reading; 15% Creative Writing; 10% Spoken Language Study]

    From the AQA Specification
