    Then your definition of money would spread into things that would never normally be considered as such. For example, neighbours who do each other favours and keep in mind that one owes another one, that would be considered money.

    I will define it how I see it. A currency of exchange which is an extension or representation of labour. Money is one form. Favours can be another, sure. Do you think a society can survive on a scale larger than tribal without the conventional form of currency we have at present (that being money)?
