Hi can u please refer to this paper http://www.edexcel.com/migrationdocu...e_20100118.pdf
and tell me the answer for question 18 showing me the calculation and why u did it and how u know it is 180 degrees out of face at point S thanks please answer this question asap
I expect this is too late, but none the less:

- The bottom wave path is 42cm long (30+12).
- The top wave path is 24cm long (18+6).
- The question tells you that the wavelength of the microwaves is 12cm.
- Therefore the bottom wave travels 3.5 wavelengths whilst the top wave travels 2 wavelengths.
- There is therefore a 1.5 wavelength phase difference which is obviously the same as being 180 degrees out of phase.
