    hey i'm having trouble working this out, can anyone help ?
    what is the volume of gas given off at the catode and the volume of the gas given off at the anode when dilute hydrochloric acid is electrolysed for 18 hours using half a farrad of electricity.

    Well, show us your attempt first.

    Start of by writing out the half equations and make use of faradays constant : 96500 C/mol
