Anyone else tried out Guild Wars 2?
After GW1, I've been following this little bugger since 2007, and now I've finally managed to get my paws on it.

So far I've been in all the beta events, and I'm in love. Thief is one of my favourite classes in any MMO to date. The stealing definitely needs some work (it's nigh-on useless), but the mechanics on every other aspect of the combat, at least with that class, are fantastic! The most adrenaline-pumping battles in a game like this for a while!

Anyone else played? Perhaps we could party up in the beta or the full game!

I played the BWE and enjoyed it LOADS for one day, minus the bugs/login glitches. Then I decided too stop playing till release, so I will party up then!

Played in the first beta weekend.

Somewhat underwhelmed although that probably had a lot to do with all the hype surrounding it. The pve was quite frankly boring- it essentially amounted to having a choice of doing a fetch, kill or collect quest in the certain area, in which occasionally you'd get attacked and had to fend off a couple of waves of enemies.

That being said I enjoyed the pvp a lot and the guardian, and engy classes were fun.

Imo it needs some work but its a solid game nevertheless.

Hey, I've been following the game for 4 years since it was announced and pre-purchased the game so have had the chance to play in the BWE.

At first I was like 'is this it...?' and then after about an hour of gameplay I couldn't put it down! I love how there are no traditional quests and you get rewarded for exploring and discovering new things. You get to play it your own way and are not pushed in just one single direction. The gameplay at lower levels is somewhat too easy and slightly repetitive compared to the higher levels. Love the dynamic events! So far they have been pulled off really well.

The PvP is the best I have seen in a long time, I love how everyone is on the same level gear wise and it truly is about using your own skill to dominate the enemy!

Definitely can't wait for release!! I'm thinking about playing either a Mesmer, Necromancer or Ranger
