Travelling to India, help me out!
    Hi guys,

I'm gonna be travelling in India for the entire month of June to do some volunteer work. I want to borrow my sister's camera but it cost her so much money that I can;t afford to lose it, so I wanted to get travel insurance.

The problem is that I can only find either travel insurance that covers everything (from health to mobile phones) and costs around £30 or gadget insurance which even though it has worldwide coverage, would require me to pay for a whole year (about £50).

Is there any company that would allow me to insure my camera for the month of June? If not, what is the cheapest option?

    Thanks in advance!

Have you considered taking a cheap camera instead?

I've been to India and you don't want to be taking electrical items which are expensive and sensitive.

    1. There's a lot of dust/sand flying around which could get into the camera.
    2. Also in June it's going to be extremely hot, are you sure the high temperature won't damage your camera?

I think you best bet would be to buy a bog standard camera to take. You don't want to be worrying about it once you're there, because you want to be able to enjoy your time volunteering.

Just buy a cheap camera with the money you would have used to pay for insurance.
