    WJEC Computing CG1 25/05/2012
Just got out of the exam, and my hand is killing me. 25 pages of writing.

Anyway, how did everyone find that exam? I lost marks for not knowing what a binary search was, and I probably didn't get many marks on the last question as I didn't use any proper vocabulary for changeovers (phased, direct, pilot etc.), and I was kind of guessing, but what I wrote was basically what occurs in phased, direct and pilot changeovers.

I FOUND it so hard, I never wrote about binary like you. Hope the boundaries are so low

Except the binary and linear search and the one where it had i = i into Y it was fairly easy

Binary search, you take a list of organised numbers, go to the midpoint, determine if you want to go above or below, and go to that midpoint. Good way of filtering out lists.

I'm REALLY annoyed that I forgot my changeover vocabulary, although overall that wasn't bad.

    Yer. The Algorithm was calculating powers of X^Y. X was 2, and Y was 4. 2^4 = 16

Hmm, I didn't say that in explanation. I said that z is multiplied by x, y number of times. Which isn't false, because in algorithm they showed z = z * x, and it was done for y number of times, so you reckon I will get that mark? Explanation was out of 1 mark.

Just thought about it, I most likely will, I remember when there's specific answer like yours, they say (correct but not expected), I mean mine is still correct.
