    Trouble concentrating on revision
All through sixth form I've been a good student, I got AAB at AS and in my January exams I managed to get 2 As.

But, in this final term my concentration just seems to be terrible. I WANT to concentrate and revise, but it's like my mind is stopping me and I really don't understand it at all. I'm terrified that I'm not gonna make my university offers, because for some reason my mind is a bit strange at this time. I've even considered just letting myself fail, and hopefully being allowed to retake my final year.

But I want to prevent this as much as possible, I highly doubt any decent universities will accept me if I have to retake an entire year of sixth form. I feel so stupid, I don't understand why this is happening.

    Any suggestions?

Download an app like 'selfcontrol' which blocks websites you tell it to, for a specified amount of time. I like to use it for an hour. Have a big cup of coffee then do some work

That is one.. utilitarian option. It may work.

Have a creative aim from your studying - don't just read or take notes, produce colourful mind maps. Or devise a number of essay questions and later on try to structure how you would answer them, then if you have time before exams, find a place free of all distractions, and write the essay out you've structured under timed conditions.

Keep going You can do it.

Take regular breaks! They are so important. Do exercise. Eat well. Sleep enough. Don't try and cram too much revision into one day. Break the revision down into manageable chunks. Don't overwhelm yourself by thinking about all the work you have to do, just concentrate on the task you have set yourself for the moment. Positive thinking as well! You can do this, you are clever, that is why you have done well in the past.

Also let your teachers and your parents know you are struggling, they might have suggestions and be more sympathetic if it turns out you do end up doing badly (which you won't ).

Oh and yeah, avoid TSR and facebook as much as possible

    Good luck.

You can do it, it just sounds like right now you are so stressed you're getting panicky and blocked by it.

As the other poster said, take regular breaks, eat well (I'd suggest avoiding caffeinated drinks, as odd as that sounds as it can make your anxiety worse), try get some good sleep and plan your time.

Also don't worry - I had to retake all my AS levels as I failed (due to illness though no one knew at the time I ended up with a C and an E - yep I only managed to finish two subjects) and I was offerred unconditionals from three unis (including Edinburgh). So don't worry too much
