I am not a university student but I am curious as to when the grades are released and what they are given as (percentages, grades, tiers etc...)

It depends on your uni but normally it's the end of June/early July.

It's common for marks to be given as percentages, which can be converted to classifications e.g. 65% is a 2.1

Depends on when you hand something in. We get our results 4 weeks after the assignment is handed in and it is a number grade, e.g 68.

I would recommend asking this question in your own universities forum rather than the general one, as it depends on when you've sat your exams etc.
For Lancaster, our assignment marks are given back within 4 weeks of handing in the assignment (unless there are problems, like once my marker was ill for a week so we didn't get it back right away). Exam marks I believe come out about mid July.
However, my friends at Liverpool who all did their exams in April rather than May will get their results in June...

June 22nd for me. It depends on the university and, as someone has mentioned above, they're usually given in percentages so you can convert them into grades (2:1 etc) yourself. Also, you usually get one grade per module at the end of the year so if you want your individual grades you may have to ask your tutor.

Last year my uni released the results July 11th, but it depends on each uni

We'll have them by 29 June. We get them through the online system in percentage form which we can then convert to degree classification.

Dundee released their degree classifications this week, and module and coursework breakdowns on the 5th/6th June.

We get grades (i.e. 2:1, 2:2 etc.) rather than percentages, I think it differs from Uni to Uni.
