(this is a rant) Phone bill
Warning don't read if you don't wont to hear me moan.
I have a ****ty blackberry curve and the contract in like 15 quid a month which my parents pay (however my phone has been faulty since I;ve had it really the internet doens't always work yet I pay for it etc) Anyways, today my bill came through and it was £75 :O I am really upset about this because I obviously will have to pay my parents all of this back with the money I earn from work which is the money that was meant to pay of my holiday! Normally I'd use this mistake as a lesson to use my phone less but I hardly ever call anyone and I've just been on the phone to the virgin man for an hour explaining that I never call people, an although to be fair I use my texts a lot and have been sending pointless 1 worded texts lately he claims I sent over 700 texts?! Normally if I go over it will be like 10 pounds at the worst. I'm paying for BBM but I don't use it (because of exams and wanting to revise) so i've been sening texts instead. He also told me I;ve already gone over £40 for this month yet it's not even the end of the month yet
The question is is there anything I complain about to get it lowered? If they had told me I was going over I would never have even text people -
Re: (this is a rant) Phone bill
hmmm its a difficult situation....but phone companies are tricksters and i doubt they will budge. there's no harm in trying to argue that they never gave you any indication that you went over your limit, but they will probably just say that its your fault you deleted bbm so should be aware of how many texts you are sending...
good luck x -
Re: (this is a rant) Phone bill
You will be able to find your itemised bill via your online account at your mobile network's website. Check to see if it is correct and that you actually made all those texts.
If it is then obviously its your own fault for not keeping track of how many minutes you had spent. You might be able to plead with the mobile network to retrospectively move you onto another price plan which will cover your text usage (text messages effectively cost mobile networks <1p to send so they might be lenient!).
