Clarisonic Mia... any good?
I know I am a guy but I have patches of redness and the odd blemish and I want to get rid of them so I thought about getting a Clarisonic Mia which seems to fit the bill perfectly as it also helps fight spots as well

So what is it like? how is the purging process (where you get break outs before it gets better)? and is there anything else I should know before I buy it?
Cheers

Re: Clarisonic Mia... any good?
I have a Classic but it's very similar to the Mia. I love it, it's made such a difference to my skin. I didn't get any purging but I know that's not uncommon. A few tips:
1) Make sure you bear in mind the cost of the replacement heads. These need replacing every 3 months and cost about £20 (though you can usually get them on ebay for a bit cheaper)
2) It says you can use it twice a day but this is way too much for most people and will likely over-exfoliate your skin. Try doing it once a day or every other day. If that's too much for your skin, go for a couple of times a week.
3) Experiment to find the right cleanser for you. It takes a bit of trial and error to find one that you like and works well with the clarisonic.
4) Go through a cashback site like topcashback or quidco - you can get about a tenner back in cashback!
5) Look out on buyapowa - they regularly do deals and the discount is quite significant - you usually save about £30. There's a deal coming up soon for a lilac one but I don't know if you'll want that colour or not
Hope that helped a bit - if you have any other questions let me know and I'll try to answer them!

Re: Clarisonic Mia... any good?don't listen to this.its worth every single penny.you won't regret it(Original post by FelixFelicis)
The Clarisonic is very much a luxury item..I think chemical exfoliants can be just as effective in combatting common problems like spots, redness, uneven/dull complexion. Just giving you an alternative, if you decide not to buy it.
