Learning Degree Level Maths
To cut a long story short, I basically have had a hard time picking between a maths degree and a physics degree. I have chosen to persue physics, but I really don't want to miss out on learning degree level maths.
How would I go about doing this? Should I buy textbooks online on subjects from uni?
When it comes to mathematics I'm a quick learner and can understand things easily, which is why I'm even attempting this at all. In addition, I'm sure any extra maths would help in physics.
Thanks for any advice in advance

Re: Learning Degree Level MathsWhich universities are you considering? There might be the possibility to do some maths modules as part of your optional modules.(Original post by MrNucleon)
The Uni's I'm considering don't offer a double degree... and even so I'd want to learn the things the degree misses out in favour of other subject topics. -
Re: Learning Degree Level Mathswell you say your s quick leaner, so definitely try self teaching- see how it goes, im not in uni yet so i dont know waht math book but im sure you could find out?(Original post by MrNucleon)

Re: Learning Degree Level MathsEugh who would choose to do analysis?(Original post by electriic_ink)
MIT have uploaded some of their Maths lectures onto their Youtube page and IIRC University of Nottingham have put some of their introductory Analysis lectures on Youtube. -
Re: Learning Degree Level Maths
Thanks for the advice thus far guys, but I don't know if changing my mind about uni course if gonna help. The main reason I want to do this and teach myself things is so I don't miss out on learning about other things I'm interested in, and any tradeoff in terms of a double degree or compromise wouldn't really be optimal.
I'll check out those maths lectures from MIT; thanks for that!
However, I think I would learn better from a book or books on uni topics; are such things even available? Would it actually be plausible to learn in this way?
