Well, I did an ND (Applied Science) after I failed AS at 6th form then again at college, am about to complete a HND (Applied Chemistry) and starting on the second year of a BSC next year. The best grade (only?) I got at a-level was a C in AS Chemistry. College was much better for me. I got a merit in my ND, and am currently on for the same for my HND! :-D

    Don't despair.

Cry, then resit. Failing that, work for my dad's company until I decide what I want to do next.

well tbh by failing I mean not getting into my firm uni which is not going to happen (I am trying my hardest to get A*/A) in my other two subjects. But a C in the other so :
If I got a C I would cry, beg my college to let me fast track an A level which is relevent to my A/A* subjects.
If I got a B in the A/A* subject resit them and beg to fast track an A level.

If my college refuses this I would cry, cry a bit more, eat as much as I can and put on a few stone, shave my head in a weird style and identify myself as a butch lesbian

Tbh the idea of failing or not getting into my firm uni doesn't bother me too much since I know it ain't the end of the world and it can be fixed. The main thing that worries me is the disappointment my parents would have and I cba with the slack i would get from them. If it was up to me, I probs wouldnt go to Uni anyways.

By the sounds of it people don't know that they can't just re-sit A2? AS levels are only valid for the year they're taken and the year following (A2 year). After that you would have to retake your whole A-Level. Probably a worthwhile piece of information.

Try again, maybe do BTECs and get into Uni.

If all else fails, I'll open a Bakery.

I don't understand why an A-Level is so important for some people. Here in Germany there are
a lot of people who have (good) A-Levels, but not a job. That's really sad. Of course you have better chances with an one, but not a guarantee.
