Okay quick quesion:

On twitter if your account has been set to private and your tweets are protected... when you tweet someone who is not following you can they still see your tweet? or do you have to set it to public and then they can view them :s

No they can't. If you protect your tweets and the @someone who isn't following you, they won't see it.
