    Ratio of Southerners/Northerners in Leeds?
This is probably a stupid question but I just wanted an idea of what kind of British people attend the uni, obviously it fluctuates from year to year and stuff but I've heard there are a LOT of Londoners and Southerners that go up to Leeds. Went I went up there, most of the people were from down South so I kinda felt like I was in a mini-London bubble! So, are there a lot of Northerners/Scots/Welsh/Irish too? And are there a lot of international people? Would be good to meet a variety of people

On my applicant day, I was like 1 of 3 northerners in my subject session of about 25-30 people (the tutor asked)

When I went up there I found that almost all of the lecturers I spoke to were from the south as well as most of the other applicants. I actually had pretty much the same thought as you - the only northern accent I heard was from the student giving the campus tour, other than that, all of the students I spoke to were southern.

In my flat now we have 3 from the north and 2 from the south. So it is quite mixed. My course is pretty mixed too

I found there's a real mixture. There definitely are a lot of southeners, and in my first year, the majority of my flat were from the south, but there are also plenty of people from the north and the midlands, as well as international students. So although there are a large number of people from London, there are people from lots of other places too!
