    Circumstances on results day
I was wondering if there are any university students who fall under any of the following categories:

    a) Had to wait a few days for your university to respond after results day, and if so, could not apply through clearing (or could still apply?)

    b) Got accepted to university although you missed their offer by a grade (or grades)

    c) Did not get accepted to a university you wanted through clearing

    d) Take a gap year.

For each of those cases, could you also please tell me what you did subsequently and what you think the best thing is to do in that circumstance.

    Thank Yooou!

You can't use Clearing if you're still waiting for your firm/insurance to decide if they'll take you or not. Which is really unfair but there's not a lot you can do about it other than asking them to hurry up.

    b) Got accepted to university although you missed their offer by a grade (or grades)
This isn't particularly uncommon and you don't need to do anything. It basically involves waking up on results day, looking on track, and seeing your place as "unconditional", just the same as it would if you met the offer. The unis get your results a few days before you do so if you've missed the offer but they'll take you anyway, they will almost certainly have decided this before you get your results.

Can't help you with the other two
