OCR Nationals ICT (level 3) advice needed
    Hello,

Okay, so i'm in a bit of a pickle at the moment.

I am currently a AS level student doing OCR Nationals Level 3 in ICT -I never realised there was so much work?- anyway, I have finally decided that I wish to persue a career in Nursing, and therefore need to do a Biology AS Level, in A2.

(My current subjects are: History, English Literature, ICT and Psychology)

I was just curious, what weight a BTEC has for University applications and UCAS? Is it worth continuing with ICT and achieving a Merit, or do I drop it now and come out with nothing, however take a subject that could potentially have more relevance for my university course.

Does, say achieving a Merit, count towards your 'BBB' requirements?

    Hopefully that made sense.

    Thanks.

Yes, you should contact any universities you are interested in to ensure it is accepted though. They are the equivalent in UCAS points to that of an A Level. So, I presume you're doing the certificate so you will receive 40 UCAS poinrs for a pass, 80 for a merit and 120 for a distinction. This is the direct equivalent to any A Level, even Biology. It's really up to you to be honest. Why not finish your certificate and then do Biology next year?
