How would you personally define love?
To anyone who is in a relationship, what would you say is the best description of what love actually is? So you say, 'i love my bf so much' or 'my gf means the world to me, i love her', but what is it exactly that you love and how would you describe the feeling?
I don't think that i've ever truly felt romantic love but i've definitely had strong crushes which masqueraded as love but probably weren't, i would like to experience what so many before me, currently and after me have and will.
So yeah i'm just interested to see how you feel on about this eternally debated topic

Re: How would you personally define love?
It's so difficult to define. To me love isn't blind. You are aware of all their strengths and faults. They may drive you insane some days but you can't imagine life without them as it's who they are, warts and all. You see their imperfections and still want to wake up in the morning. When something bad happens to them you hurt too. You're 100% comfortable with them. It is intimate and patient.

Re: How would you personally define love? That's Spot on. I've heard people die within a few days of eachother when they got old becuase they were so close. I'm sure things happen for a reason.(Original post by Ladyliesel)

I know god might not exist but we're here for something and that's love

Re: How would you personally define love?
If I say I love somebody it's because I can find perfection from them in their imperfections but yet I don't falter. You see them as the one person where you could live in a huge mansion or just live in a box yet it doesn't really matter because you have them there with you and that's all that is important. The idea that they are your best friend too is not apparent, they are the good qualities of every friend you've had, but mixed into one. You don't really care if they look terrible or they look beautiful because you see their eyes and it melts your heart as long as they're smiling. Their smile makes you smile and when they say it's going to be okay when you're down and out you feel like it is, you feel like you trust them and you get up and push through so that you can do it for them. You love to hold their hand and maybe give them a quick kiss and you can make people laugh, but when it's them you make laugh you feel on top of the world. When they give you a compliment it illuminates your face compared to that of just a passing stranger because you know the story behind them and how important it is to come from them. You can share your sexual side without worry but comfort and you enjoy everything about them. They are the person who to you, is the walking symbol of all that is good in life, all that is great and the embodiment of the perfect person who you'd give everything for and not anything less.
Then she dumps you after 4 years, you spiral into an uncontrollable world of sadness and disrepair. You try to get on as friends and sometimes you accidentally kiss and so forth and she doesn't seem to mind it, yet insists it's just friends you shall stay.
I'm not bitter. Don't get into deep love when you are young, because you feel shallow and broken when it gets out of you. -

What I meant was is love is when you're with a hot chick and you can bone her whenever and sometimes the day is nice cos you do cool things and laugh.
