Re: What drink would you want to be created?Put 120ml of water, 8 allspice berries and 4 cloves in a mug. Wait for three days. Add 30g of muscovado sugar and remove spices. Dilute to taste.
Genuinely delicious.
To be fair, I already invented that drink for you, so it would be cheating now. However, you can achieve the same effect by infusing a wide variety of things. You can do fruit/veg/fresh herbs by adding a load of sugar then pouring boiling water over it and waiting a few hours. Whole spices usually take 2-3 days in my experience, and using boiled water makes no difference to them. If you want citrus fruit peel it with a peeler and just use the peel, but try to get as little of the white stuff as you can. The white stuff can be totally avoided if you are patient enough to zest the fruit. Find a bunch of flavours you like and just infuse them together. If you like meat, throw in a stock cube
