So with the revised Science Courses
What's going on with them? Will every school be changing to the Revised Course next year or something?
I've seen them mentioned on here and I actually want to know whats different with them, and how long till they become the standard Higher/Advanced Higher courses. -
Re: So with the revised Science Courses
My school isn't switching to the new physics courses until the year after next. I've seen one of the higher papers, it looked horrible
One of the questions was like this:
"A roman soldier in a war is under fire from enemy archers. It is night time and he cannot see properly. He feels an arrow fly past his head, missing him by inches. A few seconds later, he hears a swooshing sound. Is the sound from the same arrow that just missed him, or from a different one? Justify your answer."
I don't envy the new higher candidates, that's for sure. -
Re: So with the revised Science Courses:/ I really hope there the year after at my school. Doing Adv. Biology and Chemistry and H Physics without Past Papers... Terrible thought(Original post by /\NDY)

Re: So with the revised Science Courses
By the looks of it, they're making biology more molecular biology/immunotechnology/biotech based. The biology courses were in dire need of updating. Although, it seems a bit harrowing to make them learn about PCR at Higher... meh

Chemistry looks more science industries based, too. No idea about physics.
