Studying MSc as well as CIMA/ACCA
Hi, first post so be gentle! I graduated last year from Bristol Uni with a 2:2 BSc Physics. Having spent the last few months (from January, pretty much) job-seeking, with mixed success - trying to find Grad schemes that'll look past my 2:2 is proving a challenge, despite having some decent work experience on my CV - I'm considering going back to study next year.
Having researched it, apparently having an MSc would not mitigate the 2:2 to a 2:1. I've sent applications off for MSc Finance at UWE, MSc Nanotech and Low Temp Physics at Royal Holloway, and MSc Management of IP at QMUL. Career-wise, I've been trying for something in finance, but also looking at getting experience as a patent attorney (hence the Management of IP). Assuming that I get offers from all three, which do you think would stand me in best stead?
Also been considering doing an entry-level professional qualification, specifically CIMA/ACCA, whilst studying. Any thoughts on that - the work load combination of studying for both simultaneously? And anyone done the courses listed above, have any thoughts?
Cheers
