    The Motor Effect
Can someone tell me simply what the Motor Effect is used for ? :-)

I understand how the force can be increased etc, but I just want to know what it is? Is the 'motor effect' only used/applicable to Electric Motors? Like, is it an explanation of what goes on in electric motors?

I'm really confused by this. Btw, I'm using AQA GCSE Physics.

Any explanation/help on the motor effect would be appreciated :-) :-)

    Re: The Motor Effect
The motor effect is applicable whenever you have a current inside a magnetic field.

Motors are named after this effect, not the other way around.
