yeahh i compared answers with my friends and they got the same answer as discussed here. i might have done a silly calculator mistake.

so how many marks do you think i would lose?

sub bak in, get greatest distance is 4km

guys i did the projectile differently

i did s = ut + o.5at^2

set s as 2.44, used quadratic formula to get t, got 2 values

used the highest one and that was when it was descending

used that t to work out the horizonal distance at that time which was 55m

therefore as 55>50, and 2.44 is the vertical distance off the ground at 55m, then at 50m itd be above 2.44 hence going over the pole.

you made such a meal out of it :wink: hahaha, but thats whats good about M1 you can use a variety of methods.

You might have lost one mark, but you'll only be penalised once for the mistake. As for q5(i), I believe that was a force diagram of a block being pulled by a string :smile:

ahh thanks so much :smile:) annoying about the metres kilometres thing if the maths is right though...its a maths test not a reading test -_- same with the comprehension in c4, wheres the fricking algebra in english a level?! but thanks :smile: sorry for the rant :P x
