Obviously you can't just say "Screw you!" and do it anyway, you'll probably need their support over holidays and with finance.

If possible, tell them you'll apply for single sex accommodation, that the flats/corridors are secure, that you'll visit your aunt regularly or let her visit you. If possible try and get your parents to go on a tour of accommodation (not sure if they still run these this late).
Hmm.. but they don't listen. So I really don't have a choice, its there way or no way.

Have you actually talked to them or are you saying what you think they will say?
I spoke to them many times and its a definite no.

It's nothing to be proud about, I'm quite ashamed to be Pakistani.
Why would I be ashamed? I am me.. if someone wants to judge me cause I'm a pakistani. Then I dont give a ***** At the end of the day. I havent got the backwards mentality as some people.

Having said that, I understand why pakistanis are given a bad name. But were not completely bad:cool:

I meant his aunt/uncle that he's staying with. Sometimes it's not the case

Pakistanis are definitely up there in the top 5, as the most backward people on this planet.

    Yeah
I meant your aunt/uncle you're staying with. They may be more relaxed than your parents?

I disagree, your genralising I'm a pakistani and I'm going away next year to live away for university. My parents trust me and understand living away is what I want and not once did they force me to stay home for uni.

One of my most annoying University experiences; the Asian kids using the library as a social area because they weren't allowed to go to coffee shops or pubs or HORROR OF HORRORS mix with members of the other sex.
